About Haley:
My name is Haley Chandler and I am a Reentry Advocate. Originally from New England, I got my master’s in Social Work from VCU and was lucky enough to intern for OAR during my first year of graduate school. Before transitioning to social work, I had a career with the Federal court system, where I gained a deep understanding of how legal systems too often fail those who are most vulnerable to inequity and marginalization.
Between my own lived experience and work alongside the criminal legal system, I have developed a passion for supportive reentry and helping individuals reclaim their narratives. I believe that true justice comes from human connection, compassion, and people getting the help they need.
Fun fact: I am a horror movie enthusiast and love live music.
